Data collected
This is a showcase website: no contact form, no newsletter, no user account, no online payment. No identifying data is collected.
The only data processed comes from audience measurement cookies - Google Analytics 4 and Squarespace’s built-in analytics: pages viewed, where visitors come from, number of unique visitors, device type. These cookies are only set after you give your consent.
Purpose and legal basis
This data is used to analyse website traffic and improve its content. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Cookies
Two categories of cookies are used:
Strictly necessary - set by our hosting provider Squarespace for the website to function, for security, and to store your cookie preferences. No consent required.
Audience measurement - Google Analytics 4 and Squarespace’s built-in analytics, subject to your consent via the banner displayed on your first visit.
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link on the website, or through your browser settings. Declining audience measurement has no effect on your browsing experience.
Retention period
Google Analytics data (event data and user data): 14 months, then automatically deleted.
Cookies placed on your device: their lifespan ranges from 30 minutes to 2 years depending on their function. Your consent, however, is requested again every 13 months at the latest.
Recipients and transfers outside the EU
Data is processed by two processors: Google Ireland Limited for Google Analytics, and Squarespace Ireland Ltd for the built-in analytics. It may be transferred to the United States under the Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
No data is sold, rented or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. To exercise these rights: contact@cocooningspa.fr - response within one month at the latest.
